Call for Submissions

SIIM is excited to introduce a brand-new Case of the Day feature at the 
SIIM26 Annual Meeting—and we’re inviting you to be part of it! 

This is a unique opportunity for SIIM26 attendees to share your practical experiences, highlight lessons learned in imaging informatics, and help spark meaningful conversation across the SIIM community. Whether you’re tackling workflow challenges, implementing AI, addressing safety concerns, or navigating governance or cybersecurity issues, your real-world insights can help others learn what works, what doesn’t, and why. 

Who Should Submit?

Submissions are encouraged from SIIM26 attendees who are: 

  • Students 
  • Residents 
  • Fellows 
  • Junior faculty (within 3 years of appointment) 
  • First-time attendees at any professional level 

If you’re early in your career or attending SIIM for the first time, this is an ideal way to get involved and share your perspective. 

Submission Deadline

Monday, March 30, 2026

Accepted submissions will be announced in mid-April.

What to Submit

Using this form, contribute a brief, practice-based imaging informatics case describing: 

A problem you faced, a decision you made or a solution you tried. 

Each case should lead to one clear teaching point related to topics such as: 

  • Workflow & operations 
  • QA/safety 
  • AI implementation 
  • Governance 
  • Cybersecurity 
  • And other practical imaging informatics challenges 

Presentation Requirements

In addition to the submission form, you will be asked to upload a 2–4 slide PowerPoint to Dropbox (upload link provided at the end of the submission form). 

Your slides should include: 

  1. Case Title 
  2. 1–3 Learning Objectives 
  3. One Multiple-Choice Question (4 answer options, one best answer) 
  4. Correct Answer + Brief Explanation 
  5. Key De-identified Images or Screenshots (as needed) 

File naming format:
COTD_last name_first name_YYYYMMDD 

How Selected Cases Will Be Featured*

If accepted, your case will be showcased during SIIM26 in two ways: 

1. “Case of the Day” Display in Exhibit Hall 

Your case and multiple-choice question will be displayed to attendees in the exhibit hall during the meeting. 

2. Case of the Day Wrap-Up Session

You will present a summary of your case during the Case of the Day Wrap-Up on Friday, June 12, followed by live audience discussion.
