About the Session

Imaging is navigating a rapidly shifting operational and financial landscape. As reimbursements decline and imaging demand accelerates, departments across the country are prioritizing modernization efforts to improve efficiency, scalability, and workflow stability. Cloud PACS migrations and AI-enhanced dictation transformations have emerged as two of the most impactful strategies for maintaining performance and supporting radiologists under increasing workload pressure. 

This session provides a stepwise roadmap—from RFP to deployment—built from multi-institutional experiences with PACS modernization and dictation migration. Attendees will explore strategies for vendor evaluation, contracting, workflow integration, training, change management, and long-term sustainability. Through first-hand lessons learned, the session will emphasize how structured planning, collaboration, and modern informatics tools can position radiology departments for operational resilience and improved clinical outcomes.
