Irene Ma, MD, PhD, FRCPC, FACP, RDMS, RDCS, FAIUM

As the clinical co-chair of the HIMSS-SIIM-AIUM POCUS Workgroup, Dr. Ma is a practicing general internal medicine physician, Professor of Medicine and the John A. Buchanan Chair in General Internal Medicine at the University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Ma received her MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from Stanford University, a PhD in Medical Education from the University of Calgary and completed an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She is the Chair and Founding Member of the Canadian Internal Medicine Ultrasound group.
