Dr. Mehrdad Salimitari is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Trauma Radiology Artificial Intelligence Lab (TRAIL) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he develops AI models for hemorrhage detection in CT images, contributing to automated trauma diagnosis. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Denver, working on wildfire prediction using AI and satellite imagery. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, focusing on AI-driven frameworks for IoT networks. His expertise spans machine learning, medical imaging, and deep learning. He has authored academic papers and contributed to grant proposals.
