Michael Valante, MBA, BSBME, is the global healthcare business lead for Dell Technologies Unstructured Data Solutions and serves as the CTO for Digital Pathology. His professional background spans +20 years with global clinical informatics and medical imaging technology companies including Philips, Eclipsys and Bell Laboratories. He serves on the Digital Pathology Association (DPA) Foundation Board, additionally serving as co-chair of the DPA Content Committee and a member of the DPA Education Committee. He is also a member of the Enterprise Imaging Committee with the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SiiM) and sits on the Educational Advisory Board at Imaging Technology News. He is a subject matter expert in the areas of digital and computational pathology, enterprise imaging and PACS (picture archiving and communication systems). He is deeply focused on the healthcare industry, working with customers and application partners in defining the strategic linkage between clinical requirements and informatics capabilities, to optimally leverage technology to improve outcomes, enhance clinical efficiency and increase patient and staff satisfaction.
