About the Session
The purpose of this session is to host a fun, interactive and engaging discussion on the trending topics in large language models (LLMs), discerning which are genuinely transformative (‘hip’) and which are overhyped (‘hype’). The session will explore six trending topics in LLMs, including clinical decision support, image interpretation, and patient communications.
Each topic will be presented on a slide, and the audience will vote whether they believe the topic is ‘hip’ or ‘hype.’ Based on the audience’s responses, the panelists will have 1 minute each to share their insights and perspectives on the matter. This interactive format ensures a lively debate and encourages audience participation, making it both informative and interactive.
By including the audience in real-time voting and facilitating a dynamic exchange of ideas, this session aims to foster a critical evaluation of the most talked-about trends in LLMs with candid insight from our expert panel. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of what constitutes true innovation versus hype in the context of LLMs, empowering them to make informed decisions about the potential role of these technologies in their work.
