Dr. Unal is an Assistant Professor in the Imaging Sciences and Informatics Sections of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on advancing medical imaging and informatics to bridge critical gaps in diagnosis and education. He develops fast MRI techniques for myocardial viability assessment, early heart failure detection, and minimally invasive MRI-guided procedures. He also applies machine learning and natural language processing to optimize clinical workflows and radiology training. His translational research integrates AI to enhance diagnostic accuracy and education, driving impactful advancements in radiology and patient care.
