Dr. William Hsu, Ph.D., is a Professor of Radiological Sciences and Bioengineering at UCLA, where his lab conducts research at the intersection of AI, medical imaging, and cancer diagnostics. His work focuses on developing machine learning and imaging informatics techniques to integrate multimodal clinical, imaging, and molecular data to enhance early detection and diagnosis. He has led the creation of multidisciplinary biobanks that link curated clinical and radiology-pathology data with biospecimens, enabling integrative cancer studies. His ongoing efforts aim to deploy AI safely and transparently to advance precision oncology.
