As a Senior Scientist within the AI Unit of the Wisconsin Reading Center, Dr. Slater works to implement AI solutions for Ophthamology problems to help spread the use of advanced treatments outside the university setting and bring ophthamology diagnosis to those without specialty equipment. Concurrently he is a Senior Adjunct Lecturer at Southern Methodist University in Data Science. Previously he worked in industry,at Toyota, State Farm, and Capital One.
