Vedant Malik, a senior at Parkland High School, is a researcher and the founder of MedReasoning Lab, an open-source initiative focused on building safer, more clinically trustworthy medical imaging AI. His work centers on radiology vision-language models, evidence-grounded reasoning, and methods to detect unsupported or hallucinated findings in AI-generated reports. He has conducted novel research and has presented work at SIIM, RSNA, EuSoMII, and AACR. Vedant is also a patent-pending researcher whose open-source frameworks study interpretability, grounding, and reliability in medical vision-language models.
